| The MIS : |
MIS is most important for the efficient control and management of micro-finance activities of an organization. Each and every organization maintains a proper MIS to collect data, analyze the same and provide the management necessary information to take corrective action in proper time. Mahashakti also maintains a very impressive MIS for its management and for periodic appraisal of micro-finance activities. Presently it is maintained at 4 levels. The MIS is automated by FAMIS PLUS software.
Our Management Information System is operated in 4 tier structure. At group level we have the repayment register and at branch level we have the computerized MIS. The Branch Data is consolidated at regional level and regional data at HO level. There is a MIS department with in the Institution headed by Manager –IT. Regional accountants and data entry operators are involved in data entry, report generation, forward and backward sharing and tracking of data with all departments of the organization. |

| During the partnership of FARR (Promoter of Mahashakti) with CARE CASHE Program, CARE Provided a Software i.e FAMIS PLUS developed and maintained by SADGURU INTERNATIONAL and BASIX –HYDRABAD. From 2004 the HO of Mahashakti is computerized with FAMIS Plus software. Later on we have purchased 4 software’s for the computerization of regional offices with the support of SIDBI. The software has two parts. First is MIS version and second is Financial Accounting Version. All the transactions of the institution are entered in MIS version. The transactions are Repayments (capital + Interest) , Loan Disbursements, Registration of members , Loan Processing Fees, Insurance premiums, Securities etc .
